Sunday School 2026–2027

Growing in Faith. Building Friendships. Belonging Together.

All youth are welcome at St. Cross!
Our Sunday School program invites youth of all ages, 0-18, to explore faith through stories, creativity, friendships, service, and joyful learning in a caring and supportive environment.

What to Expect

We are an all-ages church. Youth and families find a place in worship, at community events, at service projects, and throughout the various ministries we house. Sunday School is a special time for youth to be with age mates as they journey through Christian Formation. Each Sunday, children will experience:

Bible Stories & Faith Exploration
Children discover God’s love through Scripture, prayer, conversation, and hands-on activities.

Learning through Wonder
Inquiry is welcome at St. Cross, and wisdom is never simply “handed down.” Youth are invited to ask questions alongside their guides, bringing what children do so well – wonder – into our broader spiritual conversation as we learn from one another.

Friendship & Belonging
A welcoming space where every child is known, valued, and loved.

Service & Compassion
Opportunities to learn how we care for our church, our neighbors and our world.

Questions?

Do I need to register my child?

Yes. Registration helps us create a safe and welcoming environment for every child. You are welcome to register the day of your arrival, but please allow plenty of time.

Can my child attend if we are visiting or just want to try it out?

Absolutely! We would love to meet your family. Visitors are always welcome. Registration is encouraged so we can care well for your child, but we never want paperwork to be a barrier to belonging.

What ages are grouped together?

Children are grouped by age and developmental stage whenever possible so lessons, activities, and conversations are appropriate and engaging.

Who are the Sunday School teachers?

Our Sunday School teachers are caring members of the St. Cross community who enjoy working with children and helping them grow in faith. All volunteers complete teacher training, safety training and background checks.

What if my child has allergies, medical needs, or learning differences?

Please share any information that will help us support your child during registration. We want every child to feel safe, included, and known.

What should my child bring?

Children do not need to bring anything. We provide all materials needed for activities and an enjoyable snack. A willingness to explore, create, and connect is all they need!

Can parents volunteer?

Yes! We love welcoming parents and caregivers into our ministry. There are many ways to participate, from teaching and assisting in classrooms to helping with special events and activities. All volunteers must undergo training and safety checks. Please reach out if you’d like to get involved.

What happens after I register?

After completing registration, you will receive a confirmation email with any additional information you need. Our team will be in touch and make sure your child’s teachers have what they need to welcome your family on Sunday.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

We would love to welcome your family!
