Support St. Luke’s Shower Program with St. Cross

Join us in making a difference in our community through the St. Luke’s shower program in Long Beach. This two-day service project offers various ways for you to get involved!

Friday, August 15th: Lunch Preparation

Time: 3:00 PM   Location: St. Cross

Help us prepare lunches by making sandwiches, cooking soup, and collecting cookies. Whether you’re baking cookies or banana bread, your contributions are welcome! After preparing, you can drop off your delicious creations at St. Luke’s.

Saturday, August 16th: Serving the Community

Time: 7:00 AM   Location: St. Luke’s, Long Beach

On Saturday morning, join us as we serve hot lunches, cocoa, coffee, and warm soup to guests waiting for showers. Experience the impact of your hard work and witness the gratitude of those we serve.

We conduct this service project four times a year. Be sure to check the church calendar for upcoming dates, which are always on the third Saturday of the month and generally fall in February, June, August, and December.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. We look forward to seeing you there!

Donations:

In addition to the above volunteer opportunity, we’re collecting NEW men’s white crew socks and CLEAN used bath towels and GENTLY used backpacks for those in need.
