The Almost But Not Yet
Dear St. Cross Family,
You all have been patient and understanding as the Vestry and I make decisions on behalf of the parish, taking into account the state, county, city and diocese. As of today, the state and the diocese are closely aligned, but the county hasn’t changed their rules. This makes it frustrating for us to say the least. We fully expect things to open up much further by next week. We ask that you bear with us as we continue to take this slow and steady.
THIS WEEK
- We ask that you continue to sign up AND wear masks
- You may sing if you are vaccinated (Yes, with a mask this week…but hey we can SING!)
- Bring Your Own Coffee/Tea hour will continue
For Parents (and for all adults at St. Cross)
The diocesan rules for children are a bit more restrictive and we know that our under age 12 population has not yet had the opportunity to be vaccinated. The diocese has asked that we not hug or exchange handshakes with children, rather limit contact to elbow bumps. Parents, please talk with Rev. Stephen about your concerns and needs. We are not planning on children’s chapel at this time as we don’t have enough children. However, if this is the difference between seeing you this summer and not, talk to us so we can come up with a good solution for everyone.
As always I am available for questions.
Peace,
Rev. Rachel+
