Artistic Stations of the Cross 3/27

We are excited to announce that we are once again hosting the Artistic Stations of the Cross exhibit at St. Cross. This year the event will take place on March 27th at 6pm and we have an open call for pieces.
We would like to have hard copies of the artwork and the written reflection by Sunday, March 22nd. We would appreciate a photo of your piece by March 18th. Deadline for written reflection is also March 18th.
Please use this link to sign up and indicate how you would like to participate.
This project is open to all ages and abilities. We’ve had kids as young as 5 participate and adults as elderly as 91. We’ve had people sign up as a group or class to contribute one collaborative work.
ARTISTS: We’ve had everything from traditional watercolor on canvas, ink drawings, and sketches, as well as conceptual and experimental pieces. We would like a digital photo of the artwork by March 18th so that we can include it in the program. We would request the physical piece at the church by March 22nd.
WRITERS: We’ve had everything from traditional meditations, to poetry, rap and worship songs. We would like the reflections to be sent in by March 18th. If you are writing a traditional meditation, it should be about 200 words. We hope you will be present to read it aloud during the service. If not, please let us know so we can find a reader.
And, yes, you can do both: visual and written art. But we probably won’t assign you the same station for both mediums. We’re always thrilled to see what form your inspiration takes and if you have any questions please reach out to Connect@stcross.org.
