The Rev. Nathan Biornstad

Dear Members of St. Cross,

We have been blessed to have the Rev. Nathan Biornstad with us for the past three years, but now it is time to say goodbye.

As our associate for pastoral care, Nathan has taken on and strengthened many on-going programs. Especially in this unprecedented last year, his work — from managing the phone tree in the early days of COVID to making sure that throughout the pandemic all shut-ins had contact from clergy and parishioners — has been invaluable.

Nathan’s passion for living and teaching the gospel has been evident in his ministerial and administrative duties. He always has time to listen. He loves enjoying a good conversation with a parishioner (especially with the Listening Hearts ladies). His sermons remind us to love and trust God.

Nathan’s time with us will end on July 25, 2021. A separate email will detail how you can celebrate and say goodbye to Nathan in the weeks ahead. Please be sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, July 25 when we will have a celebration for Nathan at both the 8am and 10am services and wish him well in his ministry.

No decision has yet been made on hiring another priest to help with the duties of our clergy staff. For right now, we want to thank Nathan and honor his time with us.

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Rachel+
