Presenter: Kate Varley Alonso is Co-Chair of the Bishop's Commission on Climate Change Education Subcommittee and a certified member of the Climate Reality Project Leadership Corps. Kate has spent an award-winning career as a writer/producer in communications & marketing and television. She is a parishioner at St. Martin in-the-Fields, Winnetka.
Summary: Developed this past summer as a resource for the Los Angeles diocese by the Bishop's Commission on Climate Change Education Subcommittee, the presentation includes 4 parts: Have You Seen Earth, The History of Climate Change, Connecting the Climate Change Dots, and We Can Solve It. Together the segments provide a complete overview of the science behind climate change and the best solutions.
