Pentecost

As you may know, this Sunday is Pentecost, a festival occasion in our church. We wear red, we baptize people, we celebrate the Holy Spirit coming among us and sustaining us. This year we cannot baptize, but we will renew our baptismal covenant.

We wear red in our own homes, and this week we have opened our Facebook page so that we all can post photos of ourselves wearing red — you’ll have to post your own photos and check out the Facebook page before and after the service! As we know that many of you miss the Eucharist, our weekly feast together, after the 10 AM service we invite you all to an Agape Meal. Bring your own bread, wine, breakfast, coffee, slice of pie, we don’t care. Just come and join us for blessing bread, wine and all of our food as we will then break into groups and enjoy our virtual meal together.

Yes, eating on Zoom isn’t the easiest, but we can do this, and we eat together every week at the Lord’s table. This is something we are trying, and we hope you will join us and give us your feedback.

Until then, come Holy Spirit, come!

Peace,
Rachel+
