Directory, Readers and Prayers

Where’s the Directory (or as some call it, the Year Book)?
First and foremost, did you know you can access the directory online? You don’t need a printed one (but more on that in a moment). Everyone has been sent an invitation for online access and we will be sending a reminder in the next week, so be on the look out for it. Once you have signed yourself up for online access you can also decide what information you want public and what you want private. While the staff will have full access to all information, what the public sees online, or we publish in the directory is up to you.

Our staff has had a lot of discussion about how to best produce the directory AND respect the privacy of those who do not want to be included. To that end, for the next four weeks we will have a table with a member of the hospitality committee with a hard copy of our next directory. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE INCLUDED you need to either a) opt out online b) email [email protected] to request an opt out c) let the person with the hard copy know. This hard copy will be available for the next four weeks. After that we hope to go to print and have something for you in July.

Peace,
Rev. Rachel+

Can you read?
Now that I have your attention, we are looking for new lectors and intercessors. These are the people who read the lessons during the service and lead the prayers of the people. If you are interested please let a clergy person know AND email Trudy at [email protected] (also let her know if you are 8am or 10am). We will have a training on June 12 for ALL continuing lectors and intercessors after the 10 am service. Please plan to attend.

Refreshing the Continuing Prayer List
It has been a while since we have refreshed this list. We are happy to add people who need ongoing prayers. We periodically restart the list to make sure those who are on would like to stay on the list. Email Trudy at [email protected] or fill out a prayer card and put it in the plate on Sunday.
