Service Schedule: Longest Night, Pageant, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
The Longest Night: Wednesday night the 11th at 7 PM, we’ll honor the difficult moments of the holiday season with our Longest Night service in the Chapel, often referred to as the Blue Christmas service. Christmas – and the whole holiday season – can bring up some sadness in us, whether because it reminds us of some painful memories, or because we’re missing someone treasured but departed. It’s not for nothing that Christmas comes in the midst of the longest nights, though; by honoring the arrival of Jesus the Light at the very darkest time of the year, we announce that God is at work in the dark, preparing us for something that will arrive and begin lightening our world. But for dawn to come, we need to embrace the longer and longer nights, and we do so by honoring the Longest Night each year.
Christmas Pageant: Remember to mark your calendar for the Christmas Pageant on December 15 at 5 PM!
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: On December 24 at 4 PM, we will have our Family Christmas Eve Service, and at 9 PM we will have Carols followed by our Christmas Eve Festive Holy Eucharist. On Christmas Day the 25th, our Christmas Morning Eucharist is at 10 AM.
