Rev. Joe Hubbard
As St. Cross continues its discernment concerning mission and ministry, we are excited by the opportunity to enter into relationship with the churches and communities in the Utah Region of the Episcopal Church in Navajoland. This weekend St Cross is happy to host Rev. Joe Hubbard, the Vicar of St. Christopher’s Mission and Ministry Developer and Priest-in-Charge for the Utah Region of the Episcopal Church in Navajoland. There are two opportunities to meet Rev. Joe and hear his story.
On Sunday January 9th at 9am our Adult Formation class will be led by Rev. Joe Hubbard from the Diocese of Navajoland. Rev. Joe will begin a conversation about the garden initiative at St. Christopher’s Mission that is rooted in our work of truth-telling and reconciliation. An article about the work of our garden developer, Reagan Wytsalucy, might be helpful for further reading. See this PDF.
The adult ed link is in the weekly email. To subscribe, visit here.
On Friday, January 7th at 6pm, Rev Joe will be our guest for a conversation about his journey to the priesthood, his ministry on Standing Rock Reservation and Navajoland, and how our hope for relationship building and reconciliation with communities of Navajoland is similar and different than mission work St Cross has done in the past. This meeting is especially for those interested in being leaders in this ministry going forward.
