Mission Endowment Fund Grants 2023
The St. Cross Mission Endowment Fund has awarded grants and scholarships totaling $12,000 to nine recipients. Grants were made to:
- Camp Stevens for a pool cover ($2500)
- Christmas in July to purchase crafts by Palestinian artisans to be sold at St. Cross with proceeds then going to St. Andrew’s Church, Ramallah ($2000)
- I CAN to begin construction of a coffee cart to train and provide jobs for persons with special needs ($1500)
- Iguana Creek School, Selena Belize, for white boards, a printer and supplies ($1100)
- St. Cross Sacred Ground Ministry for follow-up to last fall’s course ($500)
- St. Luke’s Shower Ministry for supplies ($250)
- St. Michael the Archangel, El Segundo, for sacristy renovation ($2150)
Virginia Green and Emma Siegfried received $1000 scholarships. Virginia’s is for Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training, and Emma’s, for expenses associated with her move to the University of Connecticut for a PhD program.
