Education for Ministry (EfM)

EfM is a dynamic opportunity to go deeper into your faith. It’s a program that provides theological education (the Bible and Church history) and formation (discovering what you really believe) for laypeople. EFM is a four-year (but only sign up one year at a time) distance learning program from The University of the South. The program includes weekly group discussions, theological reflection, and individual reading.

EfM participants at St. Cross meet in the Guild Room on Monday evenings mentored by Susan Tucker. We read the Bible or Church history, supplemental readings and online resources, and reflect on where God is acting in our lives. EfM is one of the ways to understand the Christian faith and develop spiritual and theological academic perspectives. The program encourages critical thinking and exploration of our own personal beliefs.

EfM welcomes new participants. If interested or have any questions, please reach out to myself or Susan Tucker.
