Dream It. Do It. A Note from the Vestry

The St. Cross community has a proud history of being bold, a legacy of both dreaming and doing; any collective undertaking requires those two crucial elements. First, to have a vision, a dream, a North Star — a unifying, underlying faith that holds fast even amidst adversity; and of course what good are mere thoughts without action, without “boots on the ground, without organization or teamwork or effort? At St. Cross, we are both Dreamers and Doers.

So we are thrilled to ask you come alongside us to dream forward for St. Cross! We have begun the process of gathering the congregation’s hopes and dreams. As we consider why St. Cross is special to us, we’ll begin to discern our collective calling and course as we try to live out the Gospel as a church community.

We see this whole process unfolding over the next year or so, which means some patience will be required from diehard Doers among us as we attempt to Dream Big without restriction or limitation in the early stages. Of course it will feel like a leap into the unknown at some points, but that’s why we’re dreaming together. And by giving ample time and consideration to our initial visioning” of what St. Cross should do next to spread God’s love, it will make the eventual “doing” all the more authentic.

Yours In Dreaming,
The St. Cross Vestry
