Neighbor to Neighbor / Laundry Love Update: Since Neighbor to Neighbor has been put on hold for serving dinners, we are donating McDonald’s gift cards to the Laundry Love bags. The next Laundry Love bags will be given out on Wednesday, September 30. Thanks to the generosity of Juliet Kaska and Linda West, we have $200 to date for these gift cards. We need $200 more to meet our goal of 40 cards donated. If you would like to donate toward the remaining $200, you may text or phone Angela Oliver at 912 398 1277. She will let you know how much remaining donation is needed.
For donations over the summer, we thank Mary and Tom Malone, Alison and Brian Wilcox, Bitsy and Dave Lutton, Dave and Mary Garrett, Kelly Tsai, Susan Siegmund and Arleen Erhart. We appreciate so much the generosity of everyone who helps our guests in need.
Rev. Rachel adds: Thank you to Angela Oliver, Susan Sigmund and Arleen Eckhert for making snacks for the Laundry Love bags, and Susan Tsutsumi, Jim Sullivan, David Charlton and Shane Mathews for making sure bags are distributed to our Laundry Love clients every month.
Note on News We Received Late Today: Finally, with the news we’ve received today on the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, we give thanks for her life, and we pray for her family in their time of grief.
