As We Continue in Resurrection

As our county moves into the yellow tier, as summer vacations approach, as we wonder and pray about what is next for us, I want to update you on next steps at St. Cross.

Why do we do what we do at St. Cross? To be a community that serves others as a sign of God’s love! Below are the ways in which we are working to be community together. New service time, online Bible study, adult education and more. We hope we see you in the next week or two!

Cheese Tasting on May 28: Read more about this below in our weekly email, or click here to get all the info!

New Sunday 7:30 am Service Starts 5/23: Pentecost is May 23, don’t forget to wear your red! We will be starting a Sunday 7:30 am spoken service on that day. This service will remain at 7:30 to accommodate the set up for the 10am service outside. When both services move to inside (we don’t yet know when), then we will adjust the timing of the earlier service.

Adult Education: Sunday morning Adult Education will become hybrid with simultaneous meeting in Room 4 and online beginning May 23 also. We will continue the Path Bible Study online.

Staff Return Plans: Staff is beginning to return to the campus and the office. Our facilities manager is on campus Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am-1pm. Starting Monday May 17, our main office will be open Tuesday-Thursday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and closed Monday and Friday. While it is the nature of parishioners to “stop by” for what they need, we ask that you do not do this while we are getting procedures and safety measures in place. Please make an appointment to see clergy or staff.

Flower Donations: We are returning to having flowers at our Sunday services. You can make a flower dedication here for a Sunday that is important in our life. You can dedicate in memory of someone, or in thanksgiving for someone. You can sign up HERE.

Family Promise of the South Bay needs to replace a broken washer and dryer. If anyone is in a position to donate either one, please contact Liz Luevano, Communications and Volunteer Coordinator, Family Promise of the South Bay Office: (310) 782-8196.
