All Saints’ Day, Faith at 4 Signups, Civil Rights Pilgrimage Video
Faith at 4 Signups for Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25:
Saturday signup | Sunday signup
All Saints’ Day is right around the corner (Sunday, November 1). Please email Trudy ([email protected]) any names you would like included in our prayers for All Saints’ Day as we will not have the altar of repose or the book of remembrance available to us. All names need to be submitted by Monday, October 26 to be included in the service.
Eucharist After All Saints’ Sunday Service: In addition, we are going to try something new. We will celebrate a Eucharist online Sunday at 10 as November 1 is All Saints’ Day and we will offer drive through communion AFTER the service from 10:45-12:30 for those who would like to receive. Remaining in your car you will drive to the check-in station, the offering station, the receiving station, and then park to say a prayer and receive the sacrament in your car. We will continue with our Faith at 4 in-person Eucharists, but wanted to offer another method to receive the Holy Sacrament for those who so wish.
Civil Rights Pilgrimage Video to be shown Oct 25 at 12:30 PM! After their return from a Civil Rights Pilgrimage to Georgia and Alabama in March of this year, the St. Cross Pilgrims continued to meet to process this phenomenal experience. Ultimately, they decided to create a video consisting of a collection of personal testimonies, pictures, and video clips. Their video is ready for viewing. It is their hope that it will encourage others to embark on their own civil rights pilgrimage and encourage a deeper exploration of the continuing struggle for civil rights. The St. Cross congregation is invited to be the first to see their 50-minute video which has been entitled, “On Sacred Ground: A Civil Rights Pilgrimage”. It will be shown in a Zoom Conference that will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. The Zoom link and password are in the “Important Links” section of the weekly email.
